Tired of bouncing between dozens of news sites and blogs? Paste their RSS or Atom feeds into this lightweight reader and read everything in one clean timeline. The aggregator lives entirely in your browser: every feed you add, every article it fetches and every tag you assign are stored locally in localStorage, so you never create an account or hand your reading habits to a third party.
What makes this reader different?
Most online RSS services sync through the cloud and hide their code. In contrast, this page is a single self‑contained HTML file. You can drop it into any browser, add feeds, close the tab and come back later—your settings are still there.
- Tagging and filters. Give each feed one or more tags (news, tech, sports…) and then click a tag to narrow the article list to just that theme.
- Per‑feed or global view. Click a feed in the sidebar to focus on that source, or stay in “Latest” to see everything mixed together, newest first.
- Full‑text search. Type in the search bar to filter titles, descriptions and feed names on the fly.
- Adjustable refresh interval. Choose how often the reader refreshes in the Settings modal (anywhere from one minute to once a day).
- Local caching. Headlines and snippets are cached so they load instantly the next time you open the page.
- Mobile‑friendly layout. The sidebar collapses into a slide‑in drawer on small screens so you can read comfortably on your phone.
- No sign‑up, no ads. Everything runs client‑side; the only external request is the fetch to each feed’s URL (routed through a public CORS proxy).
Getting started in three steps
- Add a feed
Open the sidebar, paste an RSS or Atom URL, add optional tags separated by commas, and press the “+” button. - Refresh
Click Refresh All (or wait for the automatic interval) and the latest articles drop into the main column with publication time, source and a short excerpt. - Organise & read
• Click a tag to filter articles.
• Use the search box for keywords.
• Tap a headline to open the original story in a new tab.
Your feed list, tags, settings and cached articles stay on your device until you clear browser storage or hit Clear Cache in Settings.
Connectivity note
The reader needs an internet connection. All data lives in your browser’s localStorage. Clearing browser data or using a different device will remove or hide your records. If you’d like your article list to follow you between devices, check out htmlsync.io, which adds secure cloud sync to lightweight single‑file web apps like this one.
Use this browser‑based RSS aggregator to reclaim control of your reading, keep track of niche blogs that social algorithms bury, and stay informed without the noise of ads or tracking pixels.
